Image-to-video AI brings together dozens of models and video settings in a single interface, but its true value lies not in the “Generate” button, but in the ability to quickly compare different approaches. I’ll explain who will find the free plan sufficient—and why the cost of failed takes matters more here than the starting price.

The most useful feature of Image to Video AI isn’t the promise to “turn a picture into a video,” but rather its streamlined workflow: upload an image, describe the motion, select a model, and see the credit cost upfront. This lowers the barrier to entry, but at the same time turns the service into a platform for testing different models, where the cost of each failed attempt matters.

The service supports several image and video generators, including Nano Banana, Seedream, Flux, GPT Image, Grok, Wan, Krea, FLUX.3 Video, MiniMax H3, and Seedance 2.0. You can specify the aspect ratio, 720p or 1080p resolution, a duration of 5 to 20 seconds, and the frame rate.

A practical scenario makes sense: take a clear source image with a single, easily identifiable object, and describe not the appearance but the movement—what the subject is doing, where the camera is moving, and what mood you want to convey. Then, view the result right on the page and regenerate the video with a more precise prompt. For a short post, a product demo, or a storyboard, this is more convenient than putting together a separate pipeline using multiple services.

But the word “free” here should be read carefully. Free generation is available for a limited set of models: Nano Banana 2 Lite, GPT Image 2, FLUX 2 Klein, and P-Image. Full access and a commercial license are included in the paid plans: Lite costs $11.99 per month, Pro costs $24.99, and Ultra costs $99.99. When paying annually, the prices are $143.88, $299.88, and $1,199.88, respectively.

The cost of the generations themselves also varies: video models consume approximately 150 to 500 credits per run, while image models consume 20 to 200. An important caveat: this is not a service that guarantees a good result on the first try. The more models and parameters available, the greater the temptation to spend credits on endless comparisons.

The limitations are already apparent from the description. The article lacks independent examples of quality, comparisons of models using the same source data, information on average processing time, or details about the storage of uploaded images. It’s also unclear to what extent the stated commercial license covers specific use cases. Therefore, it’s best to view the service as a convenient gateway to models rather than as a proven best-in-class generator.

If you need a single short video from time to time, the free mode will suffice; if control and reproducibility are important, your main cost will likely come not from the first run, but from selecting a suitable model and performing several re-generations.
