In short
ByteDance has unveiled the Seedream 5.0 Pro multimodal model, designed for professional design work. The model supports point-by-point editing, layer-based editing, and text generation in more than 10 languages.
ByteDance has released Seedream 5.0 Pro—a multimodal language model for image generation designed for industrial design tasks. The solution is aimed at content creators, marketers, and designers who need detailed visual mockups and precise editing tools.
Compared to previous versions, the new model provides greater alignment between text prompts and results. The developers have implemented several improvements:
Seedream 5.0 Pro allows you to select specific areas of an image using a point or lasso tool for local editing without having to regenerate the entire frame. Overlapping areas are generated automatically.
If necessary, the image can be divided into independently editable layers: the main object, background, text, and decorative elements.
At this stage, the model is available for testing via the BytePlus API.
